Error Log

This page shows the last 300 error messages in reverse order with the time, IP address of the visitor and the URL that caused the error.

It can be useful for de-bugging scripts you are testing, seeing if you have any missing files or broken links and for seeing if people are trying to cause mischief on your account!

Popular entries in the error log:

favicon.ico
This is the little icon that Internet Explorer has next to the URL in the browser.
It is no great loss not having one of these one your site, but having one will stop the entries in the error log

robots.txt
This is a text file used by the search engine robots.
In the file you can tell the search robot where not to crawl for information.

Example of robots.txt entires

User-agent: *
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
Disallow: /admin/
Disallow: /cv/
Disallow: /testbed/
Disallow: /bin/
Disallow: /temp/

That lists the folders not to be searched. For more information on robots.txt do a search on robots.txt on Google
